Miriam Eaves is an innovative and accomplished business development professional with a specialty in the Financial, Technology and Internet space. She has an extensive list of clients, as well as a proven ability to create paradigm-shifting deals that achieve targeted, strategic goals and drive exponential business growth for companies and clients. She is skilled in acquiring key customers and closing strategic deals and has a demonstrated ability to build firms in the financial information, media, internet and cleantech industries.

Significant accomplishments include:

• For a risk management and investment analytics company, increased revenues by 50% and executed the firm’s largest contract to date;
  
• For a global technology firm, created their first deal in the U.S., which generated $500K initial revenue;
  
• For an online brokerage and e-commerce firm, executed a $1M technology license and strategic partnership with the leading online financial services destination that increased account base by 20%;
  
• For a global and leading stock exchange, created a deal with a first-year revenue forecast of $1.5M;
  
• For global financial news and rating agency, developed, launched and managed the first global interactive product which provided video based equity research, within a budget of $4M.

Her functional areas of expertise include new business development, strategic marketing, consultative sales, the creation of strategic alliances, product development, new market launch and corporate development. Ms. Eaves has created and implemented customer-driven strategies which have stimulated sales, increased industry presence and significantly enhanced the bottom line. She has negotiated numerous partnerships, deals and sales contracts to meet demanding financial and business objectives for Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial ventures alike. These companies include Dow Jones, Reuters, Deutsche Bank as well as startups funded by world class venture capital and private firms, such as Draper Fischer, General Atlantic Partners, New Enterprise Associates and TA Associates.

Previously, she served as a Senior Business Development Executive for Cody Gate Ventures, a UK Private Equity Group. In that capacity, she launched the U.S. operations for two portfolio firms. In addition, she was a founding member of the executive teams and key player in two successful venture capital funded internet firms, Wit Capital and Consumer Financial Network where she executed key strategic deals with organizations such as Yahoo, Amazon and NBCU.

In her earlier career, Ms. Eaves was recruited to develop and launch Reuters PLCs first interactive product offering, a global research product. She managed the entire product development and launch process and reported to the Executive Committee of Reuters. She was also a member of the team which developed and launched Dow Jones’ first interactive product offering.

Currently, Miriam Eaves is Managing Director of the Cargile Group, a business development and strategic marketing consultancy, and is advising C-level executives in media, information services and cleantech firms on growth strategies, business development deals and strategic partnerships. She is currently working with a sustainable investment analytics services company where she is executing business development marketing programs as well as participating in capital raising activities.

Ms. Eaves is an Entrepreneur in Residence for NYSERDA and serves on the Advisory Board of Smart Hippo. Also, she was the Founder and served as President of Women in New Media and a Board member of WPA. Ms. Eaves holds a BA from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from the University of Virginia. She is an accomplished equestrienne who competes and participates in a number of disciplines.
