Kathy Goforth, RBC Ops and Programs Coordinator

Kathy is the Operations Coordinator at the Rochester BioVenture Center.  Kathy works closely with the RBC Director to assist client companies located at the Center.  She also coordinates programs to support the development and growth of other biotechnology firms in the area through programs offered by HTR at the RBC and at the Lennox Tech Enterprise Center.  Examples of these programs include:  Infobytes, CEO Roundtable, New Client introductions, social events, and special events.

Kathy joined the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce's Economic Development Department in 1984 as an administrative assistant. In this era, the seeds were planted for the organization that would later become High Tech Rochester in 1987.

Tracing HTR's evolution from the very start, Kathy has served in a variety of support roles, working most of her HTR career in the downtown office as the Office Coordinator and has recently transitioned into the role of Program Coordinator at TEC.

Kathy has lived in Rochester all her life. When she isn't working, Kathy contributes her time to the High Falls Film Festival, Rochester Committee on Latin America and is an activist with Metro Justice. Beyond social causes, she also has a lifelong love of travel encountering different people, languages and cultures. Kathy is a big fan of Rochester's cultural scene with favorites including the Little Theatre and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
